Job Opportunities

ClearView has an opportunity for a new director in our children’s ministry area!

KidView Director Role Description:
Vision for Role:
Create an atmosphere where children ages 0-5th grade laugh, learn, and love (have fun, learn biblical truth, and are equipped for mission) during ClearViewʼs Sunday morning gatherings. As parents arrive, we want them to sense (1) KidView staff are excited to have my child here (2) they are ready to serve my child well and (3) they have prayed for my child even before he/she arrived.

Personal Characteristics:
• An avid, growing follower of Jesus (spending regular time in personal Bible reading and prayer).
• He/she values and embodies ClearViewʼs values (we are simple, missional, relational, biblical, and prayerful).
• Possesses gifts of leadership, administration, and encouragement. Gift of teaching is a bonus.
• Relational and emotional maturity. The director will be teachable, resolve-conflict well, and be an encourager.
• Charisma, energy, and a positive outlook on life and ministry.

Practices:
• Utilize 252 Basics and First Look (Orange) curriculum for each age-division.
• Ensure teachers/helpers accomplish KidView values (fun, Bible, mission). Be sure that each teacher/helper has
necessary resources to accomplish values every week.
• Oversee administrative functions (teacher/helper scheduling, curriculum distribution, expenditures, etc.)
• Recruit staff in accordance with age-division needs (as determined in coordination with Lead Pastor). Oversee staff
functions of setting up room, facilitating session, and cleaning up each Sunday.
• Create training opportunities (facilitating training times or taking the team to training opportunities).
• Oversee expansion of class offerings to respond to age-level needs.
• Enforce safety policies (each staff member completes an application and full background check by NAPD).

Guidelines:
• Annual commitment, renewable in coordination between Director and Lead Pastor.
• Accountable to lead pastor. Collaborative review after initial three months and then annually.
• Open communication at all times with lead pastor. Build trust and friendship with lead pastor/wife. Always communicate
any observations, disagreement, frustration, confusion, excitement, things God is doing/saying, or hurt feelings so that
relationship is comfortable and healthy.
• Respond to communication with lead pastor expediently.
• If Director is female: Both lead pastor and Kidview Director will copy spouse/other person on any e-mail or Facebook
interaction and share with spouse/other person about any phone conversations. When face-to-face meeting occurs,
spouse/other person will be aware, be present (when possible), and meeting will take place in a public place.
• Attend monthly ClearView team leader meetings.
• Attend weekly staff meeting.

Remuneration:
• Satisfaction of knowing you are in integral part of building something with eternal significance (a newer local church)… i.e. ETERNAL REWARDS!
• Stipend: $50/week. Our intention is that this amount will grow quickly and substantially based on merit of Director and subsequent growth of church.
